2019 North Arlington Little League

UpdatedThursday November 1, 2018 byNorth Arlington Little League.

Dear North Arlington Little League Parents,

I like to take this opportunity to thank all the players and coaches for another successful baseball season, both spring and fall.  The Little League Field is officially closed to use as it is already under repair for next year.  Registration for the 2019 season will begin in December with try-outs to be held in late January.  Fliers will be sent to all schools, our website www.nabaseball.net, and our Facebook page North Arlington Little League, NJ will be updated.

We will be continuing with all our programs, Tee Ball ages 4-5, Coach Pitch minor ages 6-7, Minor league ages 8-11, and Majors ages 10-12 and our intention is to switch the Junior program (13-14) to ages 13-15 and play in Babe Ruth 60-90 league.  As President I have been in contact with the Superintendent of Schools, the new High School Athletic director, and High School Baseball coaching staff for continued use of Rip Collins facility, hosting a Coaches clinic, and an improved summer baseball camp.

Finally, we like to thank the current Mayor and Council, in 2019 North Arlington Little League will be hosting the District All-Star Tournament.  This is due to the recent field improvement by restructuring the area behind home plate making the Little League field more compliant.

Additionally, with the assistance from Councilmen Mario Karcic and the Recreation Department, new clay has been delivered and the current grass field has been already been prepared for next year.  These are not the only improvements; the Mayor and Council are currently in the process of getting quotes on installing artificial turf not only to Little League Field but at Allan Park and Zadroga Field as well.  We are also waiting on approval to renovate the bathrooms at the field through a grant program from Little League Inc.

Thank you and see you next season!

Robert A. Kairys
President, North Arlington Little League
